British Flowers Week 2019 Special Events at The Flower Folk

  • The Flower Folk 20 Brentwood Avenue Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear NE2 3DH United Kingdom (map)

The Flower Folk, a Newcastle based flower and plant specialist, is championing flowers grown in the north east of England as part of the national campaign to encourage more people to choose locally grown blooms in their bouquets.

The Flower Folk, which opened in 2018, will host a week of events including talks, workshops and a British flower takeover where the shop will solely stock seasonal, locally grown flowers and foliage to show off the variety and quality of flowers that are grown in the region.

Events are taking place at The Flower Folk shop and studio on Brentwood Avenue, Newcastle Upon Tyne, throughout British Flowers Week and are available to book online at

Pip Lowe, owner of The Flower Folk, sources local flowers from flower farms in Northumberland and said: "Many people don't know about the range of beautiful cut flowers that are grown in the north east so I'm delighted to be supporting British Flowers Week and excited about the British flower takeover in our shop."
