Horticulturalist Cathy Marchant will be giving a talk on a brief history of flower growing in the UK and its demise during the war.
Cathy Marchant grew up in Yorkshire and some of her earliest memories are of her childhood garden, a trained fashion designer Cathy now runs the Midnight Flower Garden farm in an old walled garden designed by Lancelot Capability Brown in Cowlinge, Suffolk. Cathy will be discussing a brief history of flower growing in the UK and its demise during the war as well as the rise of the new type of British flower farms, the year in the garden and the flowers that she herself grows.
