Midnight Garden Flower Farm and The Cambridge Flower School: Grow British!

  • The Cambridge Flower School Newton Hall, Newton Cambridge, CB22 7ZE (map)

To kick start our British Flowers Week we are delighted to offer this evening workshop. Joined by our local British flower expert Cathy from the Midnight Garden Flower Farm we have combined forces to introduce you to the possibilities of growing in your own back garden (however small!).

Find out about the British flower artisan growers, how to create your own cut flower patch and the best flowers to grow for cutting. Cathy is passionate about the industry and you will be inspired to get started!

The evening will start with scones, jam and cream and lots of tea! You will then learn how to create a burlap wrap bouquet - British flowers from Cathy's own gardens wrapped in natural burlap to take home. Each student will receive a handout on how to get started with your own cutting patch.

This workshop is for complete beginners, so previous experience of floristry or working with flowers isn't required.

PRICE: £70.00 per person. To book please call 01223 655661 or visit this website.

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage and materials and tools that you need to complete the item(s). If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased during the session.

Bring a camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the evening!

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)
