To celebrate British Flowers Week, award-winning Hampshire florist and flower school owner, Jay Archer Floral Design, has teamed up with Winchester’s most talked about food and drink event organisers, Cabinet Rooms, to create a unique range of cocktails using locally grown and foraged flowers.
Floral enthusiasts and cocktails lovers will have the chance to sample the botanical creations at a one-off tasting event inspired by Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
Surrounded by the enchanting sights and smells of a midsummer garden created by Jay, guests will learn how to choose and arrange the best seasonal blooms, pick up tips on ‘growing your own’, and how to use flowers and herbs to create delicious cocktails, syrups and cordials.
Price: tickets cost £30.00 and include three cocktails mixed by Cabinet Rooms’ Gary and Marcus, the brains behind Winchester Cocktail Week and Ginchester.
You can access recipes the Cabinet Rooms have created using locally grown British flowers and herbs for this event below - plus there are directions on how to make your own lavender syrup and elderberry cordial, although these won’t be the exact recipes served on the night – they will be a surprise!
